15 Day Blog Challenge – Day 5 [Habits]


Depending on where you’re reading, they take 21, 30, 44 or 66 days to get rid of.

What is agreed though, is that ditching a ‘bad habit’ is much more successful when you have a positive replacement.

Last year, when I had my MASSIVE mindset change (I can thanks the mindset master Denise Duffield-Thomas for that), I went through a giant declutter. It’s one of the first steps the living an abundant life.

I decluttered; my daughters playroom, my wardrobe, the store room at the shop, my office, my filing, kitchen cupboards and my sewing area.

I still have a lot to go, and you can never truly finish decluttering.

Can You?

Anyway, I digress. So during my massive declutter, I also got rid of a lot of negativity.

I saw a kineseologist, I revisited my goals and refreshed them, I pulled myself up when I was having negative thoughts.

So my brain is feeling pretty refreshed this year. In fact, it feels so open, that my body is kind of crying out for something.

And the other day, it just happened.

I was walking, then I was jogging.

In my many years, I’ve NEVER like running. Like NEVER EVER. As in, PEOPLE WHO RUN ARE INSANE.

But my body is saying now is the time. It’s ok.

I’ve downloaded the C2K app, and I’ve quite successfully finished the first week.

And I’m not hating it.

Believe it or not, I’m enjoying it!

So that’s my habit. I’m trying to replace my daily walks with runs. At least 3 times a week.
